  • cargo codes and standards concerning:
    • stowing

    • safe handling
  • how dangerous cargoes can affect the safety of life and of the ship
  • policies and methodologies for dangerous, hazardous and harmful cargoes
  • loading and unloading operations, with special regard to the transport of cargoes identified in the Code of Safe Practice for Cargo Stowage and Securing
