Description

An introduction to the basic principles of dry friction and hydrodynamics. The course includes laboratory experiments and teaches officer cadets the scientific approach to problem solving. Topics covered in this course include:

  • centre of gravity
  • Bernoulli's equation
  • frames and machines
  • statics and equilibrium of rigid bodies
  • pulley systems and mechanical advantage
